Air Transporter Instructions

Air Transporter is controlled by the keyboard and has optional mouse controls. Use the arrow keys to move your helicopter. If you choose mouse control, the helicopter follows your mouse cursor. The common controls are based on the position of the keys on a standard QWERTY keyboard. The left and right keys in a row control the left and right ropes respectively, while the middle key effects both ropes. The Q, W, and E keys raise the ropes, the A, S, and D keys lower the ropes, and the Z, X, and C keys detach cargo from the ropes (you can also left click to drop your cargo is you are using mouse control). The spacebar equalizes the lengths of the ropes.

Air Transporter Walkthrough

Air Transporter is a physics game that puts you in control of a transport helicopter. Air Transporter features two control schemes, cool music, and eighteen challenging scenarios.

The objective of Air Transporter is to move cargo to its proper place and complete other missions using your transport helicopter. When all items are in place, you will advance to the next level. Levels do not have time limits, but you have a limited amount of fuel to complete your task. The amount of fuel that you have remaining is indicated in the upper-left corner of the screen. You will also have the chance to gain a time bonus if you complete the level quickly. If you fail a mission, you have the opportunity to retry it an infinite number of times. You may also continue from any previously unlocked level at a later time if you need to take a break, or retry levels to attain a higher score.

Air Transporter can be controlled by using either the keyboard or the mouse. The developers advise you to use the mouse, but I preferred using the arrow keys to move the chopper, since you will have to employ the use of keyboard controls anyway. Keyboard controls offer greater precision with fine-tuned movements, but mouse controls are smoother, despite the fact that you will still have to have one hand on the keyboard. To change your control scheme in this physics game, you will have to return to its main menu.

As you progress in Air Transporter, missions will become more complex. Be sure to follow the instructions on screen so that you know what your mission objectives are. You will also have to beware enemy units and terrain. If your helicopter takes too much damage, you will crash and have to restart the level! Some cargo is heavy and will drag you down, so make sure to keep your thrust up to counteract the forces of gravity in this physics game!

Air Transporter is a fun physics game, but at times it can be frustrating. Just remember that your progress is saved in Air Transporter, so if you need to "ragequit" you can come back and continue from where you left off.
